Big step forward today, rolled the chassis out to give the engine and gear box a good dose of Jiza followed by a hot jet wash.
Rolled her back into the work shop and lifted out the shiny looking engine and box. Thought I was going to have to get the paint out but she looks pretty good. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Finally finished stripping the old chassis.
Axles off and black hamerite smooth purchased ready to work on the axles Monday. Big thanks to all for your encouragement gents, feels as though it’s getting somewhere with the old chassis ready for the scrap. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Well a bit more progress at last. Nice shiny chassis into the workshop and axles loosely bolted on. Dropped the galvanised bits in yesterday for some work, a couple of weeks to get them back. All of them hopefully..

Brake lines and new engine and gearbox mounts in place.
Lack of knowledge and skill led me to ask Mike to do the new brake lines and I reckon he’s done a bang on job, cheers Mike. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Look good,
Have not long completed the rebuild of a series 3 myself, I think it's my boy who had the buzz for it, finished that the brought the international 374 home and rebuilt the engine in that. Would love to know what's going through the his head for the next project. Tony |
