United Kingdom 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Baltic Blue
Puma Drivers Door Card
My window motor has stopped working luckily in the up position.

I have checked the fuses all ok.

I have the door card almost off but cannot figure out how it slips off past the central locking button.

Anyone done this job and able to advise me how to do it?

Thanks

You have to remove the bezel round the button first, the bezel unclips and slides upwards off the button. Use a small screwdriver gently to lever the bezel upwards off its clip.

Once the bezel is off it is obvious how it comes off and why it has to. The second time you do the job it's easy!

The problem is almost certainly a broken wire in the rubber conduit to the door.

I had the same issue, it's most likely a frayed wire in the tube where it passes into the door, might be worth a check. James

I have the bezel off now and the door trim off. So that's good. Now I need to find the fault but the wiring in the tube sounds likely. Might be tomorrow before I can get back fault finding. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help and advise it was the blue wire that was broken as you suggested.
Now to see if I can get it back together.
