I have been looking into this quite a bit lately. I have come to the conclusion that Ro-Ro can be risky, especially with a kitted out Landy, and considering a container will only cost you about 25-30% more it is good for the peace of mind .
Best way to do things is through a agent- I am looking at going with www.andrewsshipping.co.uk/. You are probably best just giving them a bell and seeing what they say Glyn |

Speaking to a shipping agent directly would be your best bet. Khazakstan and Vladi being within a stone's throw of China would make me think that something would be possible. Is it for you? Are you planning a nice drive home once shipped?

Cheers Glynn
Seb, not driving home no, I don't have time for that length of trip, not for a while. It's for two vehicles for a reconnaisance trip siberia/mongolia and it'll be the landcruiser that's going rather than the landrover |

Good old M&S shipping will put your car in a container and ship to Cyprus for around 700

I am in Kazakhstan right now. In a place called Aktau on the Caspian Sea. Some of our contractors bring in equipment on a regular basis, and I am asking about local shipping agents. I will pm you if I get a response. 2009 110 SVX 60th Anniversary - Santorini Black

I'd love to know how this trip goes. In the future when the children are a bit older I want to take my Camel 110 back to Mongolia and we have friends in Southern Sibera near Lake Baikal. |
