Just lovely. Once the kids are gone and we sell the 130 I can see one of these would be awesome. Like the fact you can leave it and still use the vehicle. 1951 80" S1 2.0

How heavy is it when loaded please?
And is it possible to erect just the tent and front porch part without adding the other annexes? I was planning to buy a 130 but I'm considering a trailer to tow with my Disco 2 as an alternative. If I go that route I'd want a fairly agile trailer with modular set up so it can be used for quick overnight touring stops as well as a week in one place... Thanks. ☺ DINGO - '99 Discovery 2 V8 with 300Tdi transplant, chawton white. Repatriated from Australia and expedition prepped. **FOR SALE** SHARKY - '06 Discovery 3 HSE Auto, bonatti grey. SOLD. .@Guy... TBH I’m not sure of trailer weight when loaded, though the only additional weight when we go away is a packed 80L fridge at the front. We also don’t fill or use the onboard water tank as water is always readily available. We did on our trip to Spain last year fill the two diesel containers amounting to x 20L one each side on the nose ( Due to being scared to paranoia after a post regarding availability of fuel on French motorway - unfounded ) with all this on board I can still drag it around single handed in our (flat) yard, to hook it on the landrover, and when towing with the 90 I barely know it’s on the ball.
We often on one night stops while travelling to a destination “short rig” the set up, achieved by removing weather cover and simply pulling tent up, literally 5 minutes two guide ropes and two pegs, leaving the rear annex section over the roof, if we want to use the kitchen on the opposite side for a brew etc we simple put three poles under the canvas with three guide ropes and three pegs another couple of minutes. Access is then through the doors on the left, one front one rear to the double bed on top of the trailer, the canvas hanging down on the right is the kitchen side HTH Some short rig photo’s Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

That's great, thanks for taking the time to add more photos. I guess if the 90 tows it then my Disco would be ok too, fairly similar really other than better gearing for pulling away in the Defender.
