Tig... the mat covers the whole engine compartment, it is 3" thick lead lined with a flap for oil filling. Made by Actech and cost £160. Deflects 60% of noise downwards and does not affect cooling. Weighs a lot! 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Acoustic blanket sounds good - tried google to find out more but no luck - you have any pics or links? Being in West of Scotland, collection not so much an issue for me. 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

Actech acoustic mat really makes a difference over 30mph where it deflects the engine noise downwards. Actech make the sound deadening for helicopter engines.. quality kit. I done the underbonnet and undermats for my TD5 and it does work... 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
