I inadvertently ended up with the Britpart ones. Surprisingly they’ve been absolutely fine for 2ish years. Stayed scratch free, didn’t steam up or anything and gave good light with the Landreiziger loom and Osram bulbs. I’ve just taken them out for LED Trucklites and I actually don’t think they are much of an improvement. Get stainless bezels to go with them if you haven’t already. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I ended up with Britpart ones however they appear great and have a side light built in, with upgraded bulbs I've been happy with them.

I had WIPAC and OSRAM nightbreaker (the 130% ones I think) - even without the boomslang loom they were very good.
I have gone over to trucklite LED, but TBH I think a Loom upgrade, with Crystals and good bulbs are just as good as LED If I made the choice again I would save the cash on the LED, and upgrade the loom... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

I run the Land Reiziger loom and Nolden LED's, but the Crystals with upgrade loom is pretty damn good.
Which ever one you have (Crystal or LED), reducing the load though the switch to milliamps using a loom is always a good thing. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

I've been meaning to do the Land Reiziger and crystal upgrade for ages but keep getting side tracked and buying other shiny stuff.

Before you fit the boomslang kit check the fuseholder, mine melted very quickly and also the red wire from the battery looked ok until you strip it back, the cores were very small!! Way less than appropriate to the task, replaced with thicker grade.
Also both relays have been replaced now as one melted. Standard halogens nothing special to draw excessive current, so maybe i just got the "friday afternoon" kit but i doubt it. |

Never heard about such problems with the Landreiziger loom.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
