United Kingdom 2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Alaska White
Maintenance success
After several phone calls with local LR main dealer managed to get few warranty repairs done as my 110 was near to its 3yr warranty expiry.
- minor paint/rust repair to front window screen
- rear cross member resprayed as was looking faded and old / tiny bit rusty
- several door hinge bolts replaced as were rusty

Satisfied with end result - was just a lot of back and forth on the phone with the dealer and they had my vehicle for 2 weeks

I don’t believe the rear cross member is officially covered under paintwork warranty.

3 year paint warranty.

6 year anti corrosion warranty.

Paint warranty should be ok, but probably not the anti-corrosion warranty as that specifically relates to bodywork. It depends which warranty the claim is processed through.

Got mine done under warranty too. No quibble - in fact the dealer suggested that they repainted it.

Decent job on it too, although the warranty didn't extend to the tow-bar or the Shock-Link so I repainted those a couple of weeks ago with Buzzweld CIO. Dave

I didn’t even have to ask the dealer to respray the rear crossmember. When my truck was there for another job at about 2 years old, I got it back with a satin black resprayed crossmember. They said to have done this complimentary as preventative maintenance. Stayed perfect ever since, but now at almost 10 years old I let them respray it once again. This time I paid. Looks still better than new.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
