Is that the white one that's in So'ton?
If it were me I'd either refurb to original spec or do a rag top conversion but certainly not the other options - although it would be nice to have a mechanically perfect but cosmetically rough looking sleeper with a fast V8 under the bonnet ![]() |

Its an interesting question, as I'm in the process of making a similar decision myself. I'm thinking a modern interpretation - ie. something which is a little easier to live with and actually use. You don't have a poll option for that, but I think the nearest is 'Works' ? 2005 Td5 90 XS

It looks to me that original V8 90's are becoming rare and very sought after. Therefore it could be seen as a shame to change it to something it isn't. Could you actually add more value by restoring it to original condition?
Some would argue why buy an original V8 is you want to change it into something else, be better off buying a ruined 90? That said it's your Defender (or will be) so do whatever you want! V8 convertible would be awesome! a V8 90 county lends itself well for a nice retro look; keeping it original and nice; just leave off the factory graphics, wheels and front grille The galvanised bumper and cappings work well retro. Soft tops are fun; helps you hear the lovely noise; wouldn't be too difficult to turn back to an original factory look either, so unlike to loose any future value.

Don't know yet. Need to have a good look so I know what I'm getting in to - needs some work including chassis
