United Kingdom 2003 Defender 90 Td5 HT Alpine White
Knock in time with road speed.
Im getting a knocking sound that is in time with the road speed from the front hub area on my defender 90.
At 1st I thought it was a c.v. joint Knock or a wheel bearing or diff bearing.
Thinking it was a wheel bearing I stripped the halfshaft drive flange and realised the brake was dragging. Removed the caller and the wheel bearing is fine.

I was in a rush so put it all together again but noticed the caliper isn't returning properly and couldn't be pushed back.
Driving tonight I've noticed slight brake pressure gets rid of the noise as it's present under acceleration, steady throttle and cruising at constant speed.
Before I look at new caliper pads, etc should their be any anti rattle springs Tec to stop this. Mine has a pin with a coil spring, shouldn't their be a metal spring or is this a different type? Thanks 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
