I’m sorted for accommodation. Just looking for any spots that people think are worth a visit that I won’t find by looking at maps etc.

Skye is well worth a visit. The road around the north coast is one of the best I've ever driven
Also look into doing Old Millitary Road on the way to the start point of the NC500. It starts near Perth and cuts right through the middle of the highlands - missing out that terrible A9 average speed camera misery - ending up in Nairn. Plus a small detour and you can visit the excellent Glenlivet distillery Also try the coast road to Laide, Aultbea and Poolewe is very nice with some excellent scenery. We spend most summers up there |

Slaggan Bay
You can only get there with a 4x4. Take the road north from Laide to Achgarve, then take the single track west to Slaggan Bay. From memory, this is at least a couple of k's, watch out, this is not signposted. This is simply not suitable for "normal" vehicles, so is only generally visited on foot. We spent the whole day there, white sands, beautiful beach, without seeing a single person. Granted, we visited on a beautiful day, we could have been forgiven for thinking we were in the Maldives (except the cold sea!). No one there whatsoever, so, the family stripped to undies & knickers and had a blast! Can't wait to go back. We took a portable BBQ and had the most relaxing time ever. I'll post a few pics if I can find them. The selfish side of me didn't really want to share this if I'm honest. Have a look on google maps and zoom in, you'll see for yourself! Choose a nice day and make a full day of it. Post me some pics! Steve (aka Staftly) |

Considering I go up there most summers I didn't even know about it!
Looks excellent I take it the gate isn't locked and you can drive right up to the beach? |

Fort William to Arisaig, Back of Keppoch and Morar (whitest sand you will ever see and fantastic views of Eigg, Rhum and the Cullins on Skye, best sunsets ever.) On to Mallaig and get the ferry to Skye, then back over the bridge to the mainland and on you go!

+1 for Arisaig and the Silversands.
My advice is pack your walking boots and watch out for the the potholes when driving. Time is precious, waste it wisely... Defender 90 D200 |
