I have finally reached a level of irritation which requires that the driver's door hinges need to be replaced; I do not intend to sell either or both of my kidneys to fund Cryotec's beautiful craftsmanship! Does anyone have any experience of the PowerfulUk hinges at the following:

Thank you all for your advice; in the end, I went for the PowerfulUK hinges in brushed stainless steel. They were significantly cheaper than Optimil - I'll see if they are as good!

Its a small world as today I fitted those exact hinges. The profile of the hinges is the same as OEM ones so look like the originals.
Because they have the same profile if your door was sprayed with the hinges affixed (which Land Rover always did) these hinges will fit exactly on the paint line so no lines of primer showing as with some of the other stainless hinges. Excellent quality well machined and easy to fit even comes with new gaskets and stainless steel fixing. Each hinge comes well protected in packaging. If you buy these hinges you will not be disappointed the brushed finish is less in your face than the highly polished versions. Just fit one hinge at a time to keep the door alignment correct. Tip if the captive nuts in the door A-frame pillar are Ok then leave them rather than replace as they are a  to fit and you usually end up dropping one down the pillar.

I didn't know that - stainless steel alloy?
I thought it was one or the other - a mix of metals being an alloy?  I know the above seems petty but I'm curious

Stainless steel is an alloy of Iron with a minimum of 10.5% Chromium. ... Stainless steel also contains varying amounts of Carbon, Silicon and Manganese. Other elements such as Nickel and Molybdenum may be added to impart other useful properties such as enhanced formability and increased corrosion resistance.
