I replaced an old Alpine CD tuner with an Alpine UTE-92BT about a year ago. The menu system is arcane, but once set up you can forgive that because (a) you won't need to use it again, and (b) it sounds really good. Mine drives the rear speakers in the 110DC, with an external amp driving the front Focal components.

I went for the Pioneer DEH-X8700DAB Car Stereo with DAB+ Tuner and it has been really good with an aux and USB port for music as well as good BT for hands free and music from the phone ...
I paired the aerial with a DAB spliter thing that gives good reception on both FM and DAB through the wing arial. this is the 2nd one Ive had (had one for about 4 years in my previous 110 ...) and its been very reliable. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-DEH-X8700...op?ie=UTF8 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autoleads-PC6-536...8GF8X37MEP Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

I got this, and a £15 DAB aerial also from Halfrauds. I cant fault either unit or aerial.
I know it doesn't do hands free, but my 110 isn't that quiet inside on the move. If I have to make a call I will stop. http://www.halfords.com/technology/car-aud...car-stereo |

+1 for Pioneer, I have an FM version but it allows two Bluetooth connections at once. I can therefore play music from a Bluetooth device while having my phone in my pocket connected should a call come through.
Obviously the call quality isn’t stellar for the person on the other end, but that’s down to the Landy not the tech! |
