Thanks NickMc
Very interesting. The initial issue I am trying to get to the bottom of is the I am getting a flow rate of 288g/s with the engine not running, have tried 3 MAF sensors and it doesn’t differ. Will be checking the loom this weekend - then it will a trip to LR to check the software. It’s Almost like there is a tuning box installed to trick the ECU into thinking there is more air coming in and hence add more fuel. I guess it could be a bad remap also. I have checked 3 defenders at work but they are all 2.2s and the MAF value is 0 when the engine is not running. Thanks again |

I would have to get the wiring diagrams out, but that doesn’t sound right, you’ve confirmed on others that it’s not right so I would continue down that route.
Have you done a voltage drop test on the connector pins? Are all the pins in good condition? I would try and see if your connector can actually support a load with say a 4amp headlight bulb. Plenty of good videos on YouTube on testing MAF sensors that can explain it better than me eg scannerdanner |
