Tailgate half door
I’ve ordered one of these for a little project I have on,
Defender Tailgate Half Door Conversion Kit,
I don’t like the look of the swing out wheel carriers out there so My thoughts are to use three hinges as in the picture below & mount the spare straight on to the half door,
Does anyone have experience of mounting the spare on them or these half doors in general?

Seems like it should work, I don't see why not.
I sat and stared at the back of the v8 the other day, the wheel carrier rattles a bit, but it means risking not having a spare if I took it off, you could alway ratchet it on the tub floor and tell the kids it's a feature.

My view is buy one with the hinge holes already drilled Wish I had no fun to get a good fit
