Nice afternoon out.
Our local classic car club had a “drive it” day, which was conveniently held at our newly built local brewery!
So we thought we would take Delilah for a spin to look at the cars, and have a lunchtime pint.

Some nice motors parked up, we parked next to a beautiful 1952 Jeep,
We got chatting to the owner, and it had spent all it’s military life in and out of storage in the Arizona dessert,
It had suffered extensive UV damage, and was full of sand!
It really was a lovely vehicle, it also had a lovely smell to it Cool

Just up the road is a small village garage, he repairs classics, and always has something interesting on his forecourt.
Today he was kind enough to open his workshops up and let people have a look around,
He’s mainly a Jag man, but had a bit of allsorts going on, the back garden was interesting!
Cars and tractors patiently waiting in the long grass to be rescued.

Once we left there, we had a trundle for a couple of hours in the sun before heading home again,
Turned out to be a nice chilled afternoon Thumbs Up

There is something about an 80in with the hoops, canvas off and screen folded down which looks just right Thumbs Up

Sounds like you had a good day out. We went out as part of Drive it Day, the roads of Lincolnshire were full of classic and vintage cars, quite a few Willys Jeeps which certainly out numbered the Land Rovers. A few vintage trucks and coaches as well. Glorious weather to boot. Defender 90XS SW

We didn’t think it was going to be so nice today,
What with the thunder storm we had in the night!

Nice to see the classics out and about Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

We couldn’t find any local Drive it Day events so took the 2a out, went for a pub lunch, had a drive about then had a cup of tea admiring the bluebells ont the byway through West Woods near Marlborough.
Leisurely day, good company and cracking weather😊

Both trips look great, I know those woods well - must visit soon.

We had great road run and a nice picnic afterwards, not many photos though

Love the union jack bonnet Dylan,

I keep toying with the idea of wrapping a spare 80” bonnet in one. Thumbs Up 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Thanks Ian. Go for it - that bonnet in the pic is a spare one so I can revert back to my normal one as and when. Thumbs Up BORG - Bucks & Oxon 4x4 Response Group
