Or in your case, what they sell? Personally I have had a couple of Brownchurch racks on a 90 and 110, powder-coated black on the 90 was disasterous due to the rust running beneath the coating. The galvanising on the 110 was immaculate. I now have a Hannibal uncoated / clear coated rack which looks tatty (loads of holes, scuffed and chopped about) but was very cheap and is very solid. I don't leave it on however as it increases fuel consumption and wind noise noticeably. I can fit it alone with some careful maneouvering in about 30 minutes when necessary. YES we sell the Nakatanenga Cargo Bear roof racks, we also sell Patriot roof racks, Rhino Rack bars and Mambo baskets etc.
As stated questions like “what is best” is very subjective. As for roof bars on top of Cargo Bear to carry a roof box? That customer had a requirement for a low roof rack so would fit in garage etc. The T slot roof racks would not work as they sit too high above roof line and would foul on garage etc. Cargo bear would fit. Next what the ability to put roofbox on without removing the Cargo Bear. Solution was to use the Cargo Bear roof tent mounting system for the roof box. Different people have different requirements, different budgets etc so no one solution/product will suit everybody. Brendan |

pretty/very sure this wasn't a quick release roof tent mount system and the user said that they had needed to purchase a set of cheap roof bars to mount things......but either way my point is the wider industry often uses T Tracks to allow interchangeable items. These can differ in size at times, but a £5-10 on some new T Bolts and your sorted. As far as I am aware this isn't as straight forward on the Cargo Bear. But as you say.....
If spending this sort of money on a Rack I personally would want more function. |

I'd be very careful of powder coating issues, the stuff is a real pain if it starts corroding and fails it looks awful.
I have what we're Mantec bars, pretty much Manbo roof bars and have been over the moon with them. That being said, I've never wanted or NEEDED a rack to consider other options. If I was I'd be looking at the Nak and Patriot offerings. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |
