Yes but not straight forward. The ECu may not support central locking, you can piggy back a relay onto the board of the alarm ecu, did mine a few months ago, will find details and pictures in the next few days......

Hi - sorry for the delay, a link sent to me by Diesel Jim was: http://la7dja.org/defender/cdl/

This includes all the relevant connections on the pcb - I also picked up the main power & earth off the pcb to power the relay. I also wired a +ve & -ve directly through the interior from the battery.

I'll find the details of the relay I used and post again.

Keith

Hi Ash,

Details of relay:

MES 98031

Purchased via ebay from:

Elliott Boddy <travelin>

Wiring details are:

1m & 2 m are the red and blue for 2 wire actuator (i wired these to the output wires)

2 & 3 are negative switching from 5 wire actuator (these are the low current switching wires)

The other is earth

I have a couple of photos of mine though not as clear as the ones on the link above, one day I'll find how to post pictures on here - try as I might I cannot get anything off my c drive into my gallery, I wanted to post some of Ickle in France the other week, tried 4 times with no luck! Embarassed

Ickle.... could you just clarify the wiring connections onto this relay? (i've just bought one for my 110)

1M & 2M go to the actuators in the doors? (aka the solenoids)

2 & 3? where do they go? to the output from the 10AS (the soldered on wires bypassing the non existent CDL relay?)

Earth is obvious. and the +12v feed goes to the +?

cheers Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Sorry for the delay router problems for 24 hours!

Yes DJ, you are correct in your assumptions, but which way each pair connects I'm not sure, & I don't know if it matters as its a switching relay, if it works, superb,if not swap the connections around!

If you have problems I'll pull the unit out again and get a proper note of the connections.....

Thanks Keith.

I figured as much. like you say, they're just switch contacts so can be reversed (and it also depends in which way i connect in the trigger from the 10AS)

will be doing the job this week... can't wait! Cool

I could cope without lecky windows - even air con (if the Puma had screen vents like my 100") but remote central locking is a must........
