Headlight mod
Hi i have seen these style headlights on various twisted/tweaked automotive vehicles but have never seen anything for sale to get this look, not even on their sites (Twisted/tweaked).

does anyone know how to get these without going directly to those dealers and pay through the roof

Thanks Jomara but it was the headlight surround and ventI was after (well the non existent one), not the headlight itself, I should have made that more clearer my apologies!

And will have a look into it thank you

The surrounds look like series 3 ones and the little grill thing looks like something from b and q. Ray

When I spoke to Twisted about those surrounds they told me that there is welding involved, hence they do not sell them through their shop. I struggle to see what welding could be needed but there we go.

The only other thing I've been able to find is this: https://uproar4x4.com/collections/front-gr...8860357669

I also spoke to Twisted about those little grilles, they won't sell them separated as mentioned above. I can understand that to be honest as they are the only unique thing about the conversion.

The headlight surrounds are just Series 3 items painted to match the vehicle. These can be had very cheaply, for example:

https://www.paintmanpanels.co.uk/shop/mrc8...amp-bezel/

If you are planning to replicate the look, I suggest you look behind your current headlight surrounds first as Land Rover didn't often bother doing a proper job of the paint behind there!

Nakatanenga supplies at least 2 designs of the flat panel with grille that TD5 and TDCi Defenders need if S3 surrounds are to be used.

That hole for the horn is a nuisance

Some (not all) Defender wings have a square cut out below the headlamp, presumably for some sort of headlamp wash system. If you have this cut out it would either need welding up or have a new wing front fitted.
Secondly the small grilles over the horn apertures would need to be fabricated, that could be the 'welding' they're taking about.

But other than that the surrounds are just standard Series 3 surrounds, the front part of the wing is basically the same as the Series 3 you could probably fit series 3 wing fronts which don't have the additional cut outs. The horns could be put behind the bumper or radiator grille easily enough.

I got the look from Series light surrounds and mesh from Halfords bonded on with windscreen adhesive, just make sure it’s in the right position 😬

I was looking to do the same Twisted conversion and the closest I found was TMD, there is no photo on the website but have a look on their Facebook page. https://tmdtuning.com/shop/classic-tmd-light-surrounds/ 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop
