[For Sale] Cheap unmolested V8...
It’s a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8!
As you all know, Jeep are known as the superior 4x4
This was my everyday car from 2007 but has been left standing for the last 18 months. It’s on a family members drive so its time it moved on...and clears some space so I can work on my other Jeep...which is a 110
I spent the afternoon cleaning it and now theres no sign of the 10,000 spiders that were calling it home. It's probably the cleanest it’s ever been!
It was standing with the battery disconnected. After connecting it fired into life first time. The engine really is bulletproof and has never let me down… Saying that...there is now a coolant leak which I’ve traced and it seems it's a seal (see picture)...and also there's a slow battery drain...but apart from that its absolutely solid!!
When I bought the car I was told it was used in a documentary about Jeeps. My garage did comment that it had a lot of work done so there may be some truth in that. There are also some small dents where they mounted cameras on the front wings. There’s an extensive history and I have two sets of keys.
I always sorted things when required. It has a custom stainless steel exhaust and K&N air filter (improves the sound!), new refurbed wheels, new stereo, new folding wing mirror, new boot struts. I have a second set of wheels that need refurbing and the original air box filter and a few other bits.
For just a few pounds you could own a car that has:
4 owners
115506 miles
Full leather interior
Electric memory seats
Heated seats (when fixed)
Dual Zone climate control (AC blows cold)
6 disc changer (not connected)
Auto dimming mirror
Electric folding heater door mirrors
Cruise control
Harmon Kardon Stereo & Amp
VHS Video entertainment!
Dog guard
Load cover
Rear parking sensors
Tracker
Operating manual & folder
The bodywork is fair. Paint on the bonnet has faded and there are marks around the body. There is a crack on the rear bumper that looks like it was caused by a trailer but that was on the car when i bought it. I have a replacement reflector somewhere that I’ll throw into the deal if I can find it
Last MOT expired 30-01-16 and had two advisories for cracked outer walls on both rear tyres.
Bottom line… It drives, will pass an MOT with a bit of work and will make a cracking cheap tow car!
Oh...and when I was going over it earlier I did notice there might be an issue with the power steering pump as it was making a bit of noise when turning.
It’s currently declared SORN so will need to be trailered away.
The main thing is, it’s a V8! Everyone should own a V8 at some point!
Looking for £750 … which is how much the exhaust and K&N would cost!

I thought that was normal on a defender so I doubt I'd notice lol...
You should advertise it on the jeepwj UK group on FB, might be worth a try anyway if you have no luck here as that's a great price..
