Ordnance Survey Mapping Software
I'm pondering the idea of not buying any more OS Lamfold Explorer maps (1:25,000) which I use for my walking and getting some mapping software. Use a calculator and do my route cards the good old fashioned way with a compass and measurer until now but looking at saving time and something that might also be useful for green laning. Have been pretty hard nosed about it until recently.

Anquet, Memory Map, Track Logs or summot else? All seems a much of a muchness to me with Memory Map dominating. Haven't trialled anything yet, have a Garmin GPS but its as old as gods dog so probably not compatable with any of the above.

Anybody have any indepth use of any of the above or make any firm recommendations? Anquet maps do seem to be slightly more pricey, Memory Map seems to be highly compatable with GPS's and they have there own range of handheld devices and Track Logs seems pretty straightforward but not so good on hand held devices from what I can see... more just for PC.

I use a Sat Map for green laning, walking, mountain biking and canoeing. Got all OS maps for the Uk on it and it works well, been very pleased with it. Screen a decent size but use paper maps for planning route.
