Did you try the small 8 digit part numbers (00414040 / 003323033) visible below the engineering number? 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Cheers
Yes I started with one of those sockets. Basically took off the spring lid and opened it up by hand using a step cutter bit until it fitted the Blue Sea USB charger. Then removed the existing cigar lighter and filed hole, again to suit the USB charger. Removed contacts from existing plug (i.e. cut plastic housing off) and put some heat shrink over them to prevent shorts. I think the positive is purple/brown. Ground is black. Mine is an 07MY so it may be different on yours. I put an ‘O’ ring either side of the panel. On the front it fills up the recess in the panel. The one on the back acts as a sort of spring washer. Let me know if you need any ‘O’ rings. I’ve got a box full and I’ll never use all of them!!! Cheers, Jason Last edited by greenlandrover on 7th Nov 2017 4:06pm. Edited 2 times in total |

If that’s the one, there’s a uk source of the same part:- [/url]http://www.conrad-electronic.co.uk/ce/en/product/1289381?insert=EG&awc=5769_1510082526_979e87dfebc0ee817807fb01dee97fad&utm_source=affiliate_aw&utm_medium=global_aw&utm_campaign=global&utm_banner=global&WT.mc=affiliate_aw_global |

That’s nice!
Another thing I’ve thought about for the passenger side is hiding the charger itself behind the dash and then run a USB cable to one of these: - Click image to enlarge http://www.neutrik.com/en/multimedia/usb/nausb-w-b With one of these to keep the dust out: - Click image to enlarge http://www.neutrik.com/en/multimedia/multi...ies/sccd-w |

Hi all
I've recently upgraded to a Double Din fascia and didn't remove the cigar lighter from the old one as I thought I'd replace it with a USB connector instead. My H/U has 2 USB inputs (one for ApplePlay) but the second supports iPod or other device, so I'm after a USB connector rather than a charger. Any views on what is the best option (to fit in the existing lighter hole)? Nick |

Hi GL
I note that the one in your post has a square end - is this removable or does it sit inside the fascia? Nick |

The rectangular surround of the Neutrik connectors can sit on either side of the mounting panel. http://www.neutrik.com/en/multimedia/multimedia-connectors/usb/ Full engineering drawings are available on each product page.

Just ordered one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/XTRONS%C2%AE-Dash...B00VWO746G as my H/U has both Aux and USB in. Will fit it this weekend and report back Nick |
