I would recommend a Patriot Rack

the slats run lengthways so less wind noise, no modifications to the body either.

Hannibal rack slats run end to end too Smile And a great price at Nene at the moment £800 inc VAT Shocked . I just paid £500 for the same rack 8 years old and that's a lot less than I'd seen them going for on eBay.

I honestly don't know it's there until you hit around 70mph when you just start hearing an additional noise. But at this speed, the Defender is hardly quite anyway so doesn't both me at all.

It was noisier with the side rail and lashing eyelets in the slats but again only at speed. Thumbs Up

Apologies for not logging in and answering questions etc, Im ashamed to say it but I'm one of those who normally just browses for the information I need as a guest! Embarassed

Well I ended up going with the Hannibal roof rack which I have no complaints about, the build quality is great and is holding up well with everything I have chucked at it!

When I first got the truck I was unsure if it had already been remapped, then found it to be a genuine Twisted model and so it was already remapped to 182bhp.

I was in 2 minds of whether to go down the hybrid turbo route or think to hell with it and stick in a LS3 lump.

Nervous to say, I have taken the plunge and opted for the LS3 route Mr. Green Laughing

It shall be with me within the next month, and cant wait for its arrival! I shall be keeping a diary/photos/step by step guide during the conversion and posting plenty of pics for you all as I think some maybe intrested to see how it goes or any problems I run into Neutral Thumbs Up
