Courtesy light not automatic.
My courtesy light only works with the manual on/off switch on the light, not automatically when opening any of the doors, however the pillar door switches still operate the alarm!
It's a 2011 basic 90ht.
Any ideas, advice appreciated Bow down Time is precious, waste it wisely...

I think it might be one of the functions that can be disabled in the 10AS unit. The alarm controls the courtesy lights, I did seem to remember there being some settings for the lighting that can be enabled/disabled.

Had the same issue on my 300tdi. Obviously the wiring/electrics are different/ more involved but after having the alarm module tested (which was ok btw) I traced the fault to a dodgy multiplug where the earths of the door switches meet - mine was located behind the dash.l 1999 300TDI 110 CSW BMW 3.0
