Not sure about you but I loathed the cheap vinyl Defender badge on the back almost as much as I hated the cheap metal badge on my old TD5's bonnet. So, armed with just my wife's hairdryer and a can of beer for courage, off it came.

Perhaps a minor point, but it's possible.
Say you come to sell it and a potential buyer is giving it a look over and notices the lack of the Defender sticker. His/her mind starts thinking "Why no sticker?" Now what's he/she going to think? Will they think that it looked naff, so the owner's removed it, or will they think strange that, no sticker. Must have been resprayed. Must have had a prang. Buyer is unsure and walks away??? Porsche charge an extra £80 to supply cars without the 911 badge, as do Merc on SL's - I have had both and in both cases took my own off (tooth floss on 'proper' badges works well) surprised LR have not spotted the opportunity to do less and charge more, lets face it they do with everything else ![]() |
