That kind of truck is a necessity in Marseille. Hope bulletproof glass and doors to resist Kalchnikov impacts.🙄 You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Seems there is a 4” riser to increase headroom all around....and the windscreen seems taller?
Also a weird radiator front grill top? Enhancements needed for zombie control? Patrick |

Looks like it's got a pop-up roof not a 4" riser, black things may be hinges on the front. Ed

Nothing weird about that. It is just a standard SVX style grill which has such a horizontal flattish top plate. Normally you see those in combo with a Puma bonnet with a bulge, but this one has the SVX style front combined with a pre-Puma bonnet, and then they glued the Puma style Defender logo onto that flat top panel. Never seen that before, looks weird, like the entire truck. Guess driver must be Rambo or MadMax. Don’t see the license plate, but surely not a Swiss truck, as that strange stepladder on the right side and the metal bull bar would mean an instant fail at our local MOT. It had a UK license plate fitted.
I’ve seen a fair few defenders over here (more than I was expecting actually). Decided to drive the wife’s car over - Range Rover Evoque, for a bit more comfort compared to my 110. I don’t regret that decision given the hairy drop offs and hairpin bends. |

Yes...Pop Roof I'd say, Alu-Cab or similar, lock down grab pulls on the rear + lift up handle
Some moneys been spent on that one... Click image to enlarge SKIP https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |

They're obligatory in some parts of Marseille. Along with grenade launchers, smoke, .50cal top armament, spikes on wheels, etc etc. Look what the POlice use: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
