That really is lovely. Is the second row bench seat standard? James

Bespoke have just got hold of one ready for restoration. I just hope they don't ruin it. James

They went to a lot of trouble to repaint it inside and out. I don't think pastel green was a factory colour for that era of 110 Station Wagons although I stand to be corrected. I was surprised to se that the footwells were beginning to rust already especially is such a warm climate.

Stunning indeed. No wonder it sold at just 40.001$. Shocked about that low price really, even cheap for Europe (in that condition) I think, and always read that in USA these trucks often fetch close to 100.000$.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. Not sure on the colour options back in 1984, but looking at some of the photos on the selling website, it does look as though the interior was pastel green at the time the outside was in fire engine red.

The text says it's only been painted externally - the inside is the original colour. I think pastel green, also called light green, was really a Series LR colour and was only used for the first year or so of 110 production. Just checked my very early 110 sales brochure and indeed it does mention "Light Green" as a colour option.

You learn something every day on this site. I would have sworn that wasn't a factory colour. Would it have had a black grille and light surrounds or colour matched? I'd like to see them colour matched (or possibly limestone?).
Bespoke Cars "Factory V8 with 12 seats and very low miles doesn’t get much rarer than this. Available to be built to your exact requirements from the exterior colour to the colour of the thread on the interior. At Bespoke you decide." Someones going to ruin it aren't they? Colour matched grills, etc. didn't come in until much later. They would have been black on this one. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |
