don't forget some countries eat cats too Smile I have always said if times are hard, our tigger gets it. Few onions, mushrooms and curry sauce, spot on. Very Happy Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Haha Cheers Procta!

Yes made it rev a little free-er, I think I'm a little lucky as it was already mapped! I'll do a little search into air filters see what is most recommended!

Thank You 👍

Beware of oil impregnated air filters such as ITG as they have a tendency to deposit their oil on the MAF and kill it.

Pete Bell of BAS did a lot of research into air filters a couple of years ago and concluded that the standard one was the best for a TD5. Darren

yeah beware, K&N filter killed the maf on the 306. If the standard filter is better then id just use a good quality one then. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Been watching this thread & your 90 is coming along really very nicely...well done, however, Im intrigued by the two holes which are positioned in the forward position of each front wing, any ideas as to what they were originally drilled for? Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

Hi Rusty...yes a conundrum! But the nice thing is that its quite honest instead of being filled & bodged they've been left there with (I assume) some sort of bungs...but its quite a Land Rover mystery! Since 1973...S1, Air Portable's, Defender's, but only my Wolf TUL HS GS remains

I suspect those holes are left over from the fitment of a "soft A bar" with the rubber side extensions...
Cant find a picture of what I'm on about just at the moment 😉

Been a little quiet on progress as been throwing my money on new shotguns, Shotkams and other stuff! (All the gear no idea)

Very very fortunately the other day at work I parked my car in a different area to usual i just had a feeling, that day a fire started and wrote off 6 cars and severely damaged 30 fortunately the Defender wasn't on that level!

I've since decided due to recent trouble not to park within the multi-storey before the Defender gets mindlessly damaged.

Anyway a few days later after the crime investigators had done their job I'd finished work and was approaching my car. 'Is that your Defender mate' I heard a guy call to see a guy who looked like he'd been working down the pit ask me.

Turns out his small business had been set on by NCP to remove the cars from the car park however there flatbed lorry wouldn't fit. This left them scratching their head on how to remove the car! He jokingly asked if I'd be able to shift him a car so O thought 'why not'

Dragged the burned out car up 2 ramps and out into the road so they could lift it onto their flatbed! One very happy guy and even chucked me £50 for saving him a lot of hassle. Not bad for 5mins work!

There were still other cars in their however it seemed they only had to remove one that night.

A couple of pictures not the best as it was in between unhooking etc. And I had to scarper home for dinner.

Fun little adventure though was good fun squeezing it out the car park!

Hey Rusty! How’s that lovely truck of yours? Anymore modes to speak of? Did I see somewhere that you was making a box to go in the back? How did that turn out - I’m thinking of doing the same thing.. Thumbs Up 2010 Defender 90 HT
