What colour is the fluid? Power steering fluid is red and the pump is on the n/s of the engine bay, have a good look around the pipe work and the pump, I have know pumps to fail and start to leak.

Hi Will
Thanks for the reply. The fluid under the near side of my 90 was as far as l could tell was clear and thin enough to splash around the main puddle, hope that makes sense. Also the steering fluid is still showing that it is still on the top mark of the built in dip stick. I think l should check the clutch fluid because the clutch slave cylinder is also in that region. I will let you know when l check. Again thanks for you reply. Terry |

Perhaps a silly question did you recently top up your screenwasher fluid?
I had sort of the same problem and in my case the lid of the washer fluid was leaking a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover |

I always stick a finger in the fluid and taste it. Screenwash is soapy, antifreeze tends to be sweet. Just don't tell health and safety.
