Fingers crossed the stupidity in choosing to steal a highly identifiable, liveried Defender comes back to bite the scroats and they're caught asap. Monsieur Le Grenadier

Sad to see another victim...
Is Defender theft particularly bad in West Yorkshire... Are there any real statistics that appear to show this area of the country suffers more than others... It may be so, but it's probably more complicated when you really start to think about it, where are the highest 'concentraction' of Defenders geographically for example, on street vs off street / secure parking, is there also any evidence for regional differences in owners 'appetite' to take security measures. Insurance companies would probably have a fairly good idea, of the 'regional ranking', with the various parameters that come into play, and premiums (as we know) have been linked to post codes for years now...anyway was just thinking, who would have real knowledge in this regard, The Police, Tracking Companies, the NFU...I wonder what the true picture really is... West Yorkshire Police are not spared either, rather then steal theirs this one was painted overnight...bizarre... The "interview" was nothing to get myself worked up about (which I had done).
He asked some questions, which were the same as on the claim document, took a photo copy of my driving license, mot certificate, that sort of thing. He also took photos of where the vehicle was last seen (driveway). Still haggling about the value of the car though! |
