I have the bas tune 170. Antibstall still perfect. Can’t comment on boost pressure. Never worried about it to bother finding out.

Hi pal thanks for that I heard that the anti stall was removed when re-mapping so I thought I would seek advise. dont know if its agood or bad thing.

Hi
The anti-stall software and parameters are not changed when having a remap from a reputable company, I noticed no change in that respect when I had mine done. Boost pressure may / may not be changed depending on what level of power increase you are expecting to achieve and again a good company will answer honesty as to what parameters are being changed and are well tested to make sure things like that are kept in check and not going to adversely harm your engine. In having and engine produce more power than a factory standard there is to be expected trade off but with the 2.2 a minor increase isn't going to harm considering what they have as standard in the transit and it being a fairly robust setup unlike say the K series. If you are thinking of trying to get 250 horses and 600nm torque then you can expect some shortening of the lifespan compared with the docile 122bhp and 359nm Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest |

sound advise will check out utube etc I dont want silly power just a bit more grunt without the jerking in low gears. nice and smooooth

Has anyone had a standard remap done at J E Engineering in Coventry? I had my Td5 remapped there 10 years ago and was very impressed?
As That Man said I just want a tad more grunt with less jerkiness in low gear. |

Hi i had a J & E engineering remap on my 2.2 3 years ago been brilliant and super nice guys whilst i was there, went out in the Zulu that was fun. Never any problems. They also re-mapped my old 2.4 which was great untill it was nicked.

Hi do J & E only work from Coventry which is no probs in fact I like the idea of no agents after hearing of "not being able to get problems sorted easily) No offence to the good guys but like most things one bad apple etc word of mouth recommendation is the best.

If your looking for remap, speak to forum sponsors Empire Tuning and BAS! Nothing wrong with JE Engineering but if you're considering them I highly suggest you speak to Empire first

alive tuning are very god too. They gave me three maps, original, 150 and 190. I use the 190 as my 130 carries lots of weight. It has been excellent, lots of torque !when needed. I don't slow down on hills now !

Thanks for the replies.
I live in Leicester which is just up the road from Coventry. BAS are in York, Empire Colchester andAlive in Louth. So JE is the best choice for locallity Prenti 1 Did the remap help with the low gear jerkiness? When I spoke to J E they were not sure what I was talking about. I also talked to a very helpful BAS gentleman who said more torque helps but the problem but part of the problem may also rest with the drive train. This months Land Rover International mag also says the 2.2 does suffer with half shaft flang spline wear. |

Location is not important with the BAS remap as you are sent a BAS RRC2 to plug into your vehicle and the rest is done over your smart phone, + you get a decent diagnostic tool and, what I and others consider to be, the fastest and most reliable customer service possible. Pete Bell's in depth knowledge is, as my grandson would say, awesome.
I've had the BAS remap on my 2.4 for 3 years now and sought advice from Pete many times, and consider his service to be excellent value for money.  |

Ah alas Mr Shropshire I am an old coffin dodger and strange as it may seem (Especially to the grand kids) I do not own a smart phone. Just an old push button one. I can recieve text messages but thats about it. I would agree from reading a lot of forum posts BAS is the best value for money and very knowledgeable.
So I must go with the option of presenting the Land Rover to the company. Had BAS been in Coventry then they would have definitely got the business, and may still do as I caravan a lot in York City and Yorkshire so if I have not had the remap done may well get BAS to do it. |
