There is advice, but there again there are some drama queens will just complain because they can complain!. Drama queens who moan on and on and on, who do not know how to drive safely do not really impress me.
Pack your tent and clothing away yes. However dry it out/air it as soon as practically possible. That means a few days not a few weeks. Sometimes we have packed away about 10 tents/awnings wet and yes it might take a few days to be able to dry all of them out properly but apart from the actual hassle of drying that number of tents/awnings out no real hassle or ongoing problems. We have had customers who have stored an Oztent over winter and mice have ruined it. Solution store it where there are no rodents. Had customers where the tent fabric has burnt leaving just the aluminium frame. Solution avoid fires in your flat. Had customers wreck an Oztent frame by letting it blow down a Scottish mountainside. Solution do not remove all ground pegs before dropping frame in strong windy conditions. Yes things can go wrong but if people follow manufacturers instructions, use a modicum of thought and care about the use and storage of their equipment then the equipment should do the job it was designed for. LRA you managed to watch it to the end! Sorry I lost the will to live watching that drama queen about half way through!
kmac that was episode 53 from that blogger. Now a new roof tent because he did not follow normal camping practise about dying/airing equipment packed away wet?? I have no problem with people showing say how to mend item X on social media. But so called social media influencers?? Now is this social media influencer here someone doing a genuine job or a money grabbing free loader with black mailing followers determined to do deliberate harm to a business? Brendan |

I think the hotel owner should have posted his reply in the Grumpy Old Man Thread - the girl's words were well chosen and I don't think she deserved that level of venom in the reply. After all, if you don't ask you don't get - no different from asking a site sponsor for a discount...but we know the issues that raises |

I had a hannibal folding roof tent. Not well made, cold in Brecon in spring/late autumn and flaps noisily in the wind. I love my maggiolina --winds up taught, no flapping noise, and has a 2nd skin for cold weather.
