Just noticed this thread. I have a wing tank from Brendan. Because I didn't fancy drilling my main tank just incase I needed to remove the wing tank. In the ned I had a 4mm pipe brazed onto the connector at the bottom of the wing tank. This feeds my webasto heater. I lose a tad under 5L on capacity that the LR can utilise but it means that I have a 5L tank to feed my webasto. 110 D250 SE HT

Bumping an old thread here.

I am looking at what options I have for an '89 110 v8 with respect to larger fuel tanks. I cannot see a replacement main tank on the Safari-Equip site:

http://www.safari-equip.co.uk/index.php/ta...cletype=12

so I'm not sure if they have stopped manufacturing them. I would have ideally liked a single main tank with a double skinned bottom for a bit of extra piece of mind, with capacity in the region of 110->120 litres, just to give the thirsty v8 a range similar to a diesel powered 110.

I'm not a big fan of the rear arch tanks, as they look mighty fiddly to fit, you lose access to a potentially useful part of the vehicle to reach the underside of the tub and the rear electrics, and I would worry about larger wheels on a flexible suspension setup coming in contact.

The metal tank on the current v8 is toast anyway, remarkable that its still able to actually hold fuel Smile Also planning to get a Richards Chassis galvonized replacement chassis, and they offer the ability to fit the brackets for Td5 style fuel tanks, which might expand my options a little further, such as the "Long Ranger" ( https://www.devon4x4.com/tank-defender-all-except-td5-1.html ) although for some reason this says its only suitable for diesel models? 2005 Td5 90 XS
