I would guess that it's an advert being served up by Google Adsense because you aren't logged in, Martin may as well make a bit of money from those people that aren't logged in and browsing so probably not members Cheers Ian

"Wrangler is the new Defender"
This is the new Wrangler, 7 days old, completely standard except the tyres. &time_continue=643&ebc=ANyPxKrPAjWWL25qlKsVq307zIQChZND8R7aU7KgfAhLvw0wZT_u5Mik8-0vbUeTcQyu1-f1fbMufbTjXe91i5nHW5JNJE0Xeg |

Very impressive at rock crawling but it would have been nice to see it performing on and in other terrains. Defender 90XS SW

I don't know what impressed me most, the balls to take it on that trail, the driving ability, or the totally unflappable lady with the camera.

I have to admit that I am a great fan of the 4 door Wrangler especially in the Rubicon spec and the Penta-star engine.
Off to Florida for most of April and the start of May so I expect to see a few on our travels. Here is a picture from last year at the Venice Beach BBQ cook-off! Click image to enlarge Cheers Don. |

We went to America in 2016 and spent a couple of days in Death Valley where we hired a couple of 4 door Rubicons and spent a couple of days on the trails. Press the 3 buttons to engage front and rear diff locks and disconnect the ARB's, engage the auto box and it felt like you could go anywhere. Awesome! I know Defenders can be similarly modded but the Jeep was factory standard, why weren't Defenders built to this spec by Land Rover?

We had a sab rubicon out earlier in the year on a trip out, seemed to work well although it had an even worse turning circle than a standard 90 and was also wide enough that it struggled to get through one particularly tight section of woodland.
As an out of the box vehicle it's a very capable. Chris |
