CY88 I haven't had a defender for a little over 12mths and this thread is all I needed to know I need another.

Can I ask where you got your rear bumperettes from?

Thanks! The bumperettes are made by Bearmach and are billed as “heavy duty galvanised bumperettes for Series 3”. They are around £99 Thumbs Up

Well it's definitely inside, but I'm not sure I can confirm that it's safely tucked up. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get all the outstanding mechanical work done, so at the moment its on a ramp, and I'm off to see it later today to talk through the prognosis.

Leaving aside the fact that I wanted to upgrade the carbs and exhaust to release some of it's V8 potential, I've got feeling that new brakes / brake lines will be on the table, probably springs, plus some work on the front drive shafts. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that. Laughing

This is the last picture I took of it before I handed her over to the garage:

Hopefully work is going to finally start this week.

Lots of bits ordered and arriving, including new suspension from Terra firma (standard ride height and military grade shocks), new trailing arms / radius arms (adrenaline4x4) / rods / galvanised turrets / galvanised guards incl. fuel tank guard / new fuel tank / replacement rear axle with disc brakes / vented front discs / reconditioned swivel housings and lots more.

Rear disc brakes are go....
