Glitchy LED TD5 lights. HELP!
Weird one here. Didn't have time to get this fault sorted before the MOT so the 90 is currently SORN. Ideally I'd like to get this sorted and have the 90 back on the road.

TD5 running JW Speaker LED lights all round.

Here's a list of the good and the bad....

Center console interior night driving lights come on. Thumbs Up
Interior dashboard speedometer lights dead Big Cry

Offside rear sidelight works 100% brightness as a brake light Thumbs Up
.....but not when the brakes aren't in use resulting as zero light emitted as a night driving light Big Cry

Front left DRL runs at full brightness when headlamps off Thumbs Up
....but hardly visible when headlamps are switched on Big Cry
...Also when the engine off and sidelights on... the front left DRL is the only one still on 😂.

Ideas folks? It can't be the fuses as they'd all be off... I'm thinking it's a relay issue... perhaps a switch?

Thanks for looking.

First two things to do.

1) check polarity and voltage at each light

2) Check or replace all earths.

Cheers Brendan.

Sensible start. The front DRL's are an absolute NIGHTMARE to get to as they bolt from the back.

I'll have a look at the rears first and take it from there. "Big green" 2000 Td5 90 IRB Developments modified (2004-2011)

Also check if you have dim dip relay fitted. If so either bypass it or remove the resistor. It can cause havoc with headlights etc so best removed.

Looking at the pictures again you aren't getting any power at all to the O/S side lights. That is why the O/S DRL is staying bright and the Speedo etc isn't lighting up. Also sounds like no power to N/S rear light so check connection in rear tub corner Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon
