Fitting a buzzer to indicators
I keep forgetting to cancel my indicators, and the self cancelling function is only so-so. Does anyone know how I might fit some sort of audible buzzer to the indicator electrics? What should I be looking for hardware-wise?

I have used the search but can't find anything.

1999 TDi 90 (truck cab).

TIA

Try taking of the steering wheel and checking the self cancelling arms are forgot in right position 12/6 when straight ahead, and then not broken. Cheers

Or just glance down at your dash. The flashy bit tells you the indicators are on...

^^^ you need to adjust the 'fork' behind the steering wheel it wasnt centered prior to the wheel going on. Cheers

On the blue forked collar, there is an arrow which should be aligned to the left with the self-cancelling arms at 12 o'clock and six o'clock.

Some aftermarket rings are black and I am not sure if those have the arrow alignment mark. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I've used something like this before:

but it was from Maplins - https://www.maplin.co.uk/p/12v-miniature-buzzer-fl40t

Just pick up the power to the dash indicator light and take a feed from it.

Not sure if there isn't an audible relay that could be swapped out, but then you might not hear it.

Or as all the previous posters have said...just fix the actual issue Laughing
