Can't help with the D/C bit Chris (would guess Double Cab too) , but can confirm my 110 XS Station wagon (albeit td5) is also listed as 3050kg revenue weight.
Mine, for reference is listed as Defender 110 td5 XS Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

3050KG is correct for the gross/revenue weight.
They put our 88 as 3499KG, and won't change it unless I can provide them with documentation...older V5s listed the kerb weight. Thats the DVLA for you. And yes I imagine D/C is double cab, maybe you need to speak to the dealer about it? 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

It's got 7 seats and this is written also on the V5 - thinking about this I seem to remember this query has come up before Would be helpful if I could remember what the outcome was Maybe it's something to do with the commercial status on them all - the dealer didn't spot it and was clueless also |

I did post something about this in October but never really followed it up because with mine being a USW you could construd is as a DC.
I also wondered if the blanket N1 classification had something to do with it. Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

My DC is correctly listed as a DC but is also listed as having 7 seats! DVLA doesn't seem to be too hot on details these days.
SWMBO has an inferior Japanese 4x4 and the V5 had the wrong VIN on it - one digit was different to the vehicle. We contacted DVLA expecting one hell of a job getting it corrected and they simply said "no problem, we'll change that, it happens all the time". New V5 arrived a few days later, we didn't even have to confirm in writing; it was all done over the phone. |

When I brought my last one the v5 said it had 4 previous owners! I had owned it twice and so had the dealer! They changed it for me. I then ended up with 3 v5's for it! Dvla are so disorganised!

Hi , Zagato did you get any Joy with the DVLA , picked my 110XS Station wagon (7 seats) up this month and it has the same D/C on the V5 , dealer says it will be fine but not totally convinced , tried to call DVLA and all I get is a recorded message saying they are busy and then they drop the line (very customer service focused).
Would love to know if V5 is ok or not. |

My April 2010 110 Utility SW is described as "Defender 110 CNTY TDI D/C" on the V5C and was shown as having 6 seats. I queried this with the dealer, and through them with DVLA.
DVLA issued a new V5C with the nos of seats corrected to 5 but wrote in a covering letter that the description was as given by Land Rover and that they would only change it if advised by the manufacturer. I decided not to take it any further but I have filed the reply from DVLA with the V5C |

Hi
Dont worry about it. I work for Stratstone and all new 10MY onwards Defender are getting registered with bizzare combinations. Ive recently supplied a Seven seat 110 SW XS and the V5 came back as a 110 DC. I cant recall word for word but it has something to do with the vehicles being reclassified for taxation purposes, if your in a 110 SW you should only be paying the low rate VEL (£265ish?) as opposed to the £400+ they were previously. I also think theres something to do with the congestion charge classifications as well? In short your not unique. Hope that helps? |
