Thanks Clayton. Thinking Im going to get it re-powder coated. Put a two dixon bates tow jaws on the sides and a proper camel trophy bull bar on top Cool
Keeping my eyes out for a husky first though as it'll probably be the biggest expense 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

Sound good, but before you powder coat it, it would be good to get it galvanised first then powder coat it on top Wink i got mine galvanised as i was getting fed up painting it, then all i have done, as i did not want to go down the powder coat route, is i got some hammerite paint that you put straight on to the galvanise and painted what you see and what you dont see i left Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

It doesn't cost to much, i think mine cost about £30 they do it by the weight of the galvanise they put on to the item, well worth it, but you must have the bumper back to bare metal so i got mine shot blasted, then galvanised and then i painted it rather than powder coating it Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Yeah, got a place close to me that can do all three together. Getting the bullbar soon so will fit it and the bumper as is until the rest has been sorted. Missing having a bullbar too much Sad 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

So the bullbar arrived and I could not resist fitting it early, starter snowing half way through so was definitely not fun Rolling Eyes
Not its fitted though and is the first major cosmetic enhancement in some time Thumbs Up

Regarding x plate, I painted mine matt black, then next day, took the sander and sanded the paint off the raised bits, so its matt black with ally ridges. Makes it look anti bling, but not! Also it makes it look gunmetal in colour. BUT I think shiny ally probably looks best on a blue truck, black would look so wrong, mine is white.

Not sure whether I like the black chequer plate, probably just because I've gotten used to how it looks as bare metal. But soon enough I will have the spare tire covering the plating anyway Thumbs Up 1999 Land Rover Defender 110 td5 station wagon

I couldn't wait any longer to get a wing top snorkel so while I wait I got a standard one. When I can find a wing top one I will replace the side intake for the wing top one Thumbs Up
