Interested in this one! I was interested in doing this until I saw the silly prices for the kits.
Which bolts kits were you looking at as I was only really looking at doing the door hinges. My bonnet is the hidden security hinge type. Are there any other important ones? |

walk round the truck ......all the ones exposed to the elements need changing especially the ones attaching rear tub to chassis Just above chassis member as they appear to rust first and encourage the Ali to go as we'll.....make sure you use some anti galling compound like moly ceramic it's better than the the others as it does not set hard over time..........this statement may get a few comments as others have their favourite anti galling glupe.

I use a different compound than you, but also non setting and completely metal neutral. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Well, if you wanna go cheap, you always can use this popular paste here.
But if you want to do your truck some good, you use this non setting metals free Weicon paste. Don't think it is so expensive at all. I love ceramic grease, certainly when non hardening. I use that for the hubs at each change between summer and winter wheels.
