2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Keswick Green

I had this problem , it was a bit hit and miss when starting. I changed the battery in the key and it did improve a bit. Then used the seocond fob one day and it stopped playing up.

We farm so the key is quite often left in the ignition when out and about and rarely locked except at night, I’m told that leaving it in the ignition for long periods can make the immboiliser play up, or leaving it anywhere within range without locking it.

I have a new defender now which has been good as gold until last week when it also did it. Just another defender niggle to live with.

I imagine that if its possible to reboot the security system then it could be ironed out

Hi Bluericky. Yesterday the light came on but today it has been as right as rain so I am hoping that it has "bedded in" after the battery change if indeed that is possible. I'll continue to keep observing & if I hear anything from the service people in Huddersfield then I will return here to let people know.
