Does anyone else get suspicious when a listing says on behalf of a friend/ relative/ neighbour/ whatever with no internet access?!
Is there anyone left with no internet access?! |

interested in the responses -clearly it's not an original, but it's supposed to be solid (so can be returned if not), has a full MOT, is scruffy but ok, and is about £2.5k at the mo - so pretty cheap.
I agree that 'listing for a friend' is always dodgy. MOT history is pretty solid - though I had to smile at the 'chassis repaired in many places' back in 2010..... Also mildly odd is that the MOT check site has it as a Range Rover, but as it's a valid MOT I think that's a standard computer miscoding error..... So I'd be interested to know why so much non-love for the poor beastie, esp at that price..... (but no, I'm not bidding on it ) |

Think it’s more to do with the tax exempt status that gets people’s backs up!

Exactly. This is an example of what the new MOT and tax exemption changes are all about. 2010 XS USW

Keep reporting them!
I get the feeling EBay couldn’t care less, as it’s just a sale to them, But if you can pull the plug on just one, that’s better than nothing. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Imagine trying to tell your insurer about all the non-standard features of that!

Easy. Everything in between the front and rear number plates.......(oh and the plates as well).
Seriously, buyer beware but it does nothing to aid the reputation of classic car owners and makes it a whole lot tougher for everyone. I've no Idea if it is legit but it sure looks like a 90 to me. 2010 XS USW 1957 Series One 88 diesel 1958 Series One 88 4x2 |

As said above, if you do the mot check, it comes up as a Range Rover!
Blackwolf is right, This vehicle + insurance company+ a claim = one massive nightmare. Good luck to the buyer, unless they are after a Classic RR chassis? 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |
