Hi

Not a fault you can guess at really, brake testing won't help the cause.

You need to get it plugged in, it's probably either a wheel sensor not triggering, poor conection in the plug/loom?
Or a genuine ABS modulator fault?

You will be needing to run the correct software for your model.

I've had the lights flickering before, which turned out to be a poor Earth on the gearbox,
But if they are permanently lit, it's a fault.

Quick update,
in short one of the soleniods inside the ABS unit was faulty,
So this was replaced and also hard wired at the same time to erradicate the connector inside the unit,
The solenoid was about £40 plus labour, but wayyyyyy cheaper than £2700 plus vat for a new ABS unit,
all back together and tip top again,

Work carried out by paul at PEX5x5 Nr Andover ish area

Hope this helps someone else out Thumbs Up

sory matey, i have no idea, i just dropped it off and collected it,
it was about £300 labour so i guess it was done without wing removal ?

All you can do without a diagnostic tool is a visual inspection. Check the wheel sensors and cabling for obvious damage or bad connections.

Have you tried the Hawkeye? I'm not familiar with the Hawkeye, but I think the ABS on the late TD5's is the same as the early pumas. The Hawkeye might still talk to the ABS ECU, although it'll probably throw up loads of errors for the engine management system it might well give you good info on the braking system.
