Lacking in drama, are you sure? 500+BHP AMG Twin Turbo V8 in a car weighing just 1600kgs? 0-60 in just 3.6 secs and topping out at 195mph. I appreciate it's no longer a home-made AM engine, but AMG aren't a team incapable of bringing character out of smaller engines, indeed arguably the best mass producers to do so. So it's certainly not the baby Aston in the old sense, and is heading into super car territory. If they can get the Chassis and drive right, it has potential to be a hoot and whilst divisive, I think it looks stunning. Thumbs Up

I'd treat MsX4 to a DB11... (and a few Track Day's Exclamation)

Just how many hot laps would it do before the brakes started waving a white flag though?

Hello Likeomg

It's not a deal breaker (and some what academic actually) but I don't like the 'standard wheels' on the DB11 where the 'spokes' look like they have been 'twisted off' the center boss because you've been trying too hard, a simpler wheel design would I think just look better, and 'dreaming away' here the DB10 with its more pure shape, again just looks better (IMO) but that said when you walk round a DB11... and really have a good look, this is one lovely car, also AM doesn't suffer from the 'super car' image problem... Very Good that it still ranks so high a top GB Brand. SKIP

Brakes aren’t a concern, there’s 3 db11’s signed up for the aston track day in April,

The v8 vantage’s all had steel brakes also and fair well on the track..

I know the db11 is beautiful.. if i was only allowed one car I’d probably have one but since it’s reserved for sunny weekend days I prefer the vantage..

Thumbs Up

Rockingham,

The thing with track days is you aren’t on track for too long at a time, the original v8 vantage had the same bremo’s as fitted to the 430’s so could take a beating

That is almost unique amongst sport/super cars. I think many envious types mock RRS (Drug-dealer), Ferrari (Poser), McLaren (Flash), Bentley (Footballer) and other similar car drivers, but I agree there seems to be something different about Aston. Never seems to be included in the above listings, never used as a cliché, never as the punchline to a joke. I wonder why? British, small enterprise? JB connection? Beauty?

Its admired yet not envied reputation is almost as good as a Landy/Defender Whistle Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I'd rather replace a set of steels disks than ceramics... all it takes is one small stone between the caliper and disk and your track day has suddenly become far more expensive than expected. Big Cry

On the way to the infield?

Mrs G and I were on a 'pitbike' and I decided to go through there absolutely flat out, whilst perhaps under the influence and very nearly had a big accident in there!! It was super sketchy!!

I would like a small house on the Gulf Coast of Florida or one of Grenadier's cabins and a bit of land instead....
