£150k would be enough to clear my credit cards, fully restore and engine swap my 110, and still put a sizeable deposit down on a house!

150k, that would be the mortgage paid off, some cosmetics on the Defender followed by a V8 upgrade and a pot left to spend on keeping its thirst quenched. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

How about building your own 400bhp V8 defender with upgraded suspension, interior etc AND kitting it out for expedition use AND shipping it to the country of your choice (South America?) before giving up work for a year or so and having a nice little adventure.
I reckon you could come back from all that and still not have sunk £150k into the venture. Alternatively an even better plan, assuming You have the 150k going spare, which this thread sorta assumes would be buy one of these factory V8s - stick it in a barn for a couple of years, then proceed to do the above anyway once you’ve sold it for £250k! 2014 Keswick Utility 2.2 |
