I'll do it for you.
It was a blue 2.25 diesel. Tax was last due in December 1999. No MOT record available. So it has been off the road (not SORN'd) since 1999. It is either lying in a shed (or in the open) somewhere, or has been scrapped. EDIT - you just got in before me! |

Sorry to hi-jack, but thought it better than starting a new thread...
Has anyone any experience of asking the DVLA for the current owner details of a vehicle - form v888 I believe? Of all the Land Rovers my dad used to own, there are two I would love to see(buy) again. ADE 847C - a S2A. And WYJ 855S - a 2-door Range-Rover. Have done all the standard DVLA website checks |

That form is for the parking pirates to find out who owns a vehicle they want to issue a parking invoice to!

I tried with the DVLA to do that for my old series 3 but the DVLA refused it as they weren't acceptable grounds to reveal the current keeper

Looks like there is little scope for tracking a vehicle now then...

I've used that form several times (certainly 4+) on cars that I have owned, wanting to know past info for "history" reasons and have always been successful. I was also successful once when someone took out some of my hedge, scarpered, but left his front number plate behind. But trying to track down a current owner because you want to buy a car is less likely to succeed... |
