It's only pain , it only hurts till it stops. And having had shingles in my inner ear , I am reasonably qualified to make that assertion. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Pain is only weakness leaving the body.......
Having said that I have experienced a number of different types of pain & I can recommend avoiding kidney stones. I had one about 20 years ago & I genuinely thought l was dying. Guy May your life be like toilet paper ; long & useful. |

As Kidney stones in Men can not be compared to child birth - some who have experienced both describe it as the same pain as being shot in the leg.
When I had Kidney stones, A&E were unsure what was causing the pain so they put me on Morphine. They kept upping the dose as the pain increased until I was on the Maximum dose - but the pain kept increasing Turns out that Morphine restricts the urethra and makes the pain worse. Eventually they gave me a big dose of paracetamol and that worked. |

I feel your pain, mine for nearly 10 years. However for real excruciating pain, I used to have a Vauxhal Frontera. 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned. 1989 Ninety 200tdi - Love it - Second best car I have ever owned. 1951 80" Series 1 - Love it - Third best car I have ever owned. |

I did not have it long, 4 months or so, so no therapy required. It did however have one major benefit over the Defender... ....I could park it anywhere, no one wanted to nick it 2007 90 Puma - Love it - Best car I have ever owned. 1989 Ninety 200tdi - Love it - Second best car I have ever owned. 1951 80" Series 1 - Love it - Third best car I have ever owned. |

Whilst Mrs Grenadier speaks passable day-to-day French, she not so hot on medical or dentistry terms and it is for this that I accompanied her this afternoon to a dentist after she broke her tooth in two. Not sure I’ve come across a dentist who enjoyed his work with such lighthearted jollity as he injected painkiller seven times (yes SEVEN times) into Mrs Grenadier’s mouth. Humming and singing, tapping his foot as he searched through all manner of awful looking tools before digging in and around Mrs Grenadier’s teeth. If I wasnt watching it for real myself, and I had trouble doing so as I hate needles, I’d have thought he was auditioning for a part in Monty Python’s Spanish Inquisition sketch. Quite unnerving, he’d make a very good torturer. Poor old Mrs G wasn’t enjoying a minute of it and left looking like she’d been ten rounds with Tyson, at least if he’d been focusing just on the bottom right hand side of her face. Blood, swelling, tears, dribble and Mrs Gren wasn’t much better Monsieur Le Grenadier
I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
