You should get a similar sort of mileage out of the KO2s.
The KO2s are good in the snow / ice, I swapped to them from KM2s mainly for that reason and the noise levels. |

I wore my BFGs down to about 3mm of tread in 65,000 miles so about that I'd imagine 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

They’re very good. My last set of BFG AT KOs did 72,000 in two years. The lowest was about 2.5mm at that point so they were effectively worn out though still legal.
Replaced with a set of KO2s, so one hopes they will also perform similarly well (though I suspect not). |

BFG A/T fitted to our white 90 and with 36,000 miles they do not seem particularly worn. So would expect at least 60,000 out of them. The only reason I would not xpect 60,000+ miles is if the annual mileage is not enough and th3y age befor3 th3y wear out.

My BFG A/T KOs have done about 80,000 miles so far over about 6 years still have approx 5mm of tread left but looking a bit perished now due to their age so will change them this year will definitely replace with A/T KO 2s. 2005 Td5 90 XS

I had 80000 out of mine in just under 6 years, sold the SVX then but still had tread on them but as Brendan says they would be due for replacement due to age, very pleased with them as a tyre have the AT KO 2s on the replacement for the SVX. 2015 HT XS 90

To find the age of the tyres look for the DOT code. Explanation here
There are differing advice on what age tyres should be replaced. Personally I look at replacing them at 7/8 years old even if plenty of tread left, some advise 10 years. Look for cracking between tread blocks and cracking around wheel rim. Cause of tyres deteriorating include ageing, stress from being parked in one position for long periods, UV exposure, thermal ageing, exposure to salt. Brendan |
