Very jealous
Any more details on the trip? How long did it take you? If you were to do it again what would you do differently? This is the kind of thing I'd love to have a go at in the future, albeit on perhaps a smaller scale. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone 2002 - Black Discovery II - Gone 2014 - Montalcino Red 110 XS SW |

things have changed a lot since then so the route might be a bit different! A pity really as the middle east was one of the most interesting parts of the trip.
I spent just over a year doing it but the first half of that was spent playing in Namibia, Botswana, Zim and SA. Have been back a few times since to do 'snippets' and take the kids out there. Will try and dig a few more pics out, Digital photos werent around so been busy scanning slides! |

Thanks for the comments, must admit it was a cracking vehicle.
It did the Camel Trophy in '94 in Mundo Maya, I bought it in 1997, did the Transafrica trip as well as a few trips up to Arctic Norway, across to Bosnia and around the continent. Sold it in 2006 to a kiwi mate of mine who drove it back down to South Africa, across Australia and still it has it out in New Zealand. It was still in pretty good nick when I sold it as per this pic. Click image to enlarge From what I can gather it's in even better condition now, I've offered to buy it back if he gets bored of it |

Wow!
I think I'd have been pretty gutted to part with that! Lovely One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
