Well, googling it does not show much. But I'm impressed by your pictures. It looks like a simpler version of what we have installed in our factories working with hexane, but still impressive for a parking lot. As said, I never have seen a parking lot with such a system anywhere. For a large multi-level parking lot, installing such a system on all levels with dry or live pipes, tanks and diesel powered pumping station must cost a fortune to install and to maintain. I know what these things cost in each of our factories, many millions for each one. For a public parking, that cost would have to be taken up in the parking rates. All the parkings I know here in Switzerland and other EU countries have forced aeration installed, but not such industrial sprinkler systems.
Eric You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

According to at least one report, it was an old "Range Rover Discovery" that started the blaze!
How clueless do you have to be to become a journo these days? |

"Range Rover Discovery"
Close, but no cigar. Poor, mis-educated and under-trained journalists who are climbing the slipery ladder to the BBC (if that is the pinnacle). They were probably disappointed that there were no deaths or serious injuries to get their word processors into?? |

It like the phrase "At about" instead of approximately that they keep using it drives me up the wall. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

I'm not a journalist and am not employed for my grip of the English language which is just as well as 1. I was educated in Norfolk and 2. I failed 'O' Level english language not once but twice. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it |

I see from the pictures of the site on the BBC that at least one Discovery did go up in the Blaze along with I think a Range Rover. This is in addition to the P38 and Evoque at the origin of the blaze. The decks on most of the floors look totalled and collapsed.
The how you demolish the structure looks a horrendous job now it is full of so many toxic elements. 1995 Defender 110 CSW 1971 SIIA Lightweight |
