All,

Happy New Year!

Does anyone know what type of locking wheel key this is?

Can’t find it anywhere... online etc. hold on my 18” Twisted alloys.

Can’t find the key anywhere in the Defender.

Thanks all... someone will know, someone always does. Very Happy

You are unfortunately not going to have much luck with a 2 post history on a topic related to security. Twisted will probably sell you a new key Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

If you have bought it from a garage that is who should be telling you where the locking key is/what type it is. The garage should have supplied one with the vehicle.

Am with Grafty about the security issue.

I've purchased similar shaped locking nuts from Twisted before, they are made by MaxXtrac. Same type here:

They look to be standard spline socket drive, reasonably widely available (and probably therefore not very secure).

For example (top end of the price range of course, other makes are available): https://store.snapon.com/Spline-Sockets-C800700.aspx

I guess it depends on the number of splines, which isn't easy to determine from the pictures.

They are coded the spacing and spline width differs; so buying another set will not fit.
I had the same problem on mine. (same ones!); I could never find out how many versions of the key are out there and how to identify the correct ones.

OK, that is good news from the security point of view, although perhaps not so good if you've lost or don't have the key. Thumbs Up

Just hammer a suitably sized socket on, that’ll have it off without too much problem.
